How to rotate or flip an image
- Add your photo: Drag a JPG, PNG or WebP image onto the upload area, or tap it on a phone to choose from your gallery.
- Adjust it: Use the rotate and flip buttons. The preview updates instantly. For a small correction, drag the fine angle slider.
- Check the size: The output size is shown under the preview, so you know what you will get.
- Choose PNG or JPG: PNG keeps transparent corners. JPG creates a smaller file and fills empty corners with white.

Straightening a tilted photo
If the horizon in a landscape shot is slightly crooked, or a document was photographed at a small angle, use the fine angle slider. Move it a degree or two until lines look level. Rotating by an angle that is not a multiple of 90 makes the image canvas larger so that nothing is cut off, which leaves empty triangles in the corners. Those areas are transparent in PNG and white in JPG. If you want to remove them, crop the result afterwards.
Why does my photo open sideways?
Phones store a small piece of information with each photo that says how the camera was held. Some programs respect it and others ignore it, so the same photo can look correct in one place and sideways in another. Rotating and saving the image with this tool creates a new file whose pixels are already in the right direction, so it looks the same everywhere.
